A salamander broiler is a compact cooking appliance used in many restaurants to cook food by exposing it directly to the heat source. The process used by salamanders is known as broiling which means exposing the food directly to radiant heat from above. Broiling is much similar to grilling but the main difference between the two is that in broiling, the heat source is placed above and in grilling, the heat source is below the food material. The body of the salamander is made of stainless steel to provide complete resistance to corrosion and the required strength to the product. The heat is produced using infrared broilers which can be adjusted according to the food material you are cooking. Salamander broilers are the perfect appliance due to their compact size and it cooks delicious restaurant like food even at home. These produce much better-broiled food than in-built oven broilers and are perfect for cooking seafood, melting cheeses and caramelizing sugar on desserts due to their low heat settings.
Salamanders are typically four-limbed animals with relatively long tails. They superficially resemble lizards but lack epidermal scales and claws. Salamanders range from about 30 mm to 2 m in total length. Their limbs are relatively small and are reduced or lost in some terrestrial and aquatic species.
